The office is open from 9 am - 6 pm, Monday-Friday. The office is closed on weekends and federal holidays.
The practice is considered out-of-network and does not accept any forms of health insurance. A custom receipt can be provided to patients to submit to their insurance for reimbursement.
Times are inclusive of documentation, collaboration with other providers, medical record review.
- Initial Consultation (up to two hours): $750
- Short follow up (up to 25 minutes): $250
- Long follow up (up to 50 minutes): $500
Appointments are not double booked so all cancellations require 2 business days in advance to avoid being charged a fee.
Telehealth appointments are available for established patients. Dr. Rao must be licensed in the state in which the patient is physically located at the time of the appointment. All patients must be seen in person at least once a year.

Patients with psychiatric emergencies should report directly to the nearest emergency room or call 911. Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service (PESS) at Monmouth Medical Center can also be reached at (732) 923-6999. Any messages left with the office will be returned within 2 business days.
Medication refills are sent in during scheduled appointments and will last until the next scheduled appointment.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany a child under 18 to the initial consultation and be available during all follow up appointments. Any custody agreements in place should be brought to the initial consultation.
Separate sessions for parents as often as needed. In order to maintain confidentiality and a therapeutic relationship, specific issues may not be discussed. Parents or legal guardians will be notified if the child presents a danger to themselves or others. Dr. Rao must report all cases of suspected child abuse to the authorities as per state and federal laws.
